Job Summary and Qualifications Respiratory Therapy Supervisor Our Respiratory department is a committed, caring group of colleagues. We are currently seeking a Supervisor of Respiratory Therapy and will provide you the tools and resources you need to succeed in our organization. As a Supervisor on our Respiratory team, you will provide supervision for all aspects of Respiratory Care Services and will be responsible for shift operations of the department. Your duties and responsibilities may include: Provide leadership and are responsible for the delivery of safe, quality, patient care for assigned departments and staff on a daily basisEnsure department's standards of practice, policies and procedures meet legal and all accrediting and regulatory agency requirementsConduct respiratory assessments of patients as indicated within scope of practiceAdminister medications and perform various clinical modalities as prescribed by physicians Requirements: Completion of a two-year accredited respiratory care programAssociate Degree or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree preferredClear/active Florida licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Basic Life Support (BLS) required upon hireRequired within 6 months of hire: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) & Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)Minimum of five years of experience in clinical respiratory therapy in an acute hospital environmentOne year of supervisory experienceCritical thinking, service excellence and top-notch interpersonal communication skillsAbility to read/comprehend written instructions; ability to follow verbal instructionsPC skills Benefits HCA Florida South Shore Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
