What Youll Do
- Provide respiratory therapy care across emergency, intensive care, stepdown, medical/telemetry, neonatal, pediatric, and labor and delivery settings.
- Support high-risk deliveries, including neonatal airway management and intubation when clinically indicated.
- Manage airways and ventilators, including invasive and non-invasive ventilation.
- Perform arterial blood gas puncture and analysis.
- Respond to Code Blue events and rapid response calls.
- Administer inhaled medications, including nitric oxide when indicated.
- Participate in patient transport and scheduled call coverage, including adult transports.
What You Need
Required- Louisiana respiratory therapy licensure
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
- National accreditation through NBRC
- At least 2 years of respiratory therapy experience
- Completion of at least one 13-week assignment
- Experience with high-risk deliveries and neonatal airway management
- Experience supporting Level 3 NICU/PICU patients
- Valid drivers license and flexibility to work across four campuses
- Skills in airway and ventilator management, non-invasive ventilation, ABG analysis, Code Blue, rapid response, and inhaled medication administration
Preferred- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- Transport experience
About the Assignment
This assignment is with a leading facility in Shreveport, Louisiana, supporting respiratory care across four campuses located approximately 2025 minutes apart. The clinical environment includes adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients with complex respiratory and critical-care needs. Weekend rotation is every other weekend, and approximately two call shifts per month may be required. Scrub color is pewter, and free parking is available.
