    Job Summary

    This position may qualify for a sign-on bonus

    Provides respiratory care to patients. Completes established competencies for the position within designated introductory period. Other related duties as assigned.

    Qualifications

    MINIMUM EDUCATION: Graduate of an accredited AMA Respiratory Care Program

    MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None

    PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Some experience in respiratory care or related area 

    REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURE: Possession of current RCP State of Texas License, Possession of 
    current CRT / RRT Certification from NBRC Renewal required every 5 years unless grandfathered prior to July 1, 
    2002) 

    REQUIRED COURSES/ COMPLETIONS (e.g., CPR): 

    • Must have active healthcare provider Basic Life Support on hire (ARC or AHA); however, must have 
    • AHA Healthcare Provider BLS within 60 days of hire.
    • AHA ACLS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role
    • AHA PALS must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if covering pedi
    • AHA NRP must be completed within 60 days of hire or transfer into role if covering nicu
