Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
= Call Requirement: Approximately 3 call shifts per schedule + Every Other Weekend

Requirements:

• Active Illinois Respiratory Therapist License

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Credential

• Current BLS Certification

• NRP Certification (Required)

• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy

• Minimum 3 years of recent Respiratory Therapy experience

= Responsibilities:

• Assess and evaluate patients' respiratory conditions.

• Administer physician-ordered respiratory therapies and treatments.

• Develop, implement, and modify respiratory care plans.

• Monitor patient responses and communicate changes with physicians and nursing staff.

• Educate patients and families regarding respiratory treatments and disease management.

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Float to other units as needed to support patient care.

• Mentor staff and students while maintaining high clinical standards.

• Document patient care accurately using EPIC EMR.
