San Luis Valley Health is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join its patient-focused Respiratory Therapy team in beautiful Alamosa, Colorado. Qualifications
Required:

• 
  Graduate of an AMA-approved Respiratory Therapy program.
  
• 
  Credentialed by the NBRC as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT).
  
• 
  Active Colorado Respiratory Therapist license in good standing.
  
• 
  Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  
• 
  ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required within six months of hire.
  
• 
  Ability to perform both basic and advanced respiratory care procedures.
  

Responsibilities

• 
  Perform advanced respiratory procedures including ventilator management, suctioning, artificial airway care, bedside spirometry, arterial blood gas (ABG) collection and interpretation, chest X-ray interpretation, and resuscitation.
  
• 
  Administer respiratory therapies such as IPPB, Incentive Spirometry, EZ-PAP, HHN treatments, chest physiotherapy, aerosol treatments, oxygen therapy, and airway management.
  
• 
  Provide smoking cessation and asthma education to patients.
  
• 
  Perform diagnostic testing including EKGs, EEGs, Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs), Mobile Cardiac Telemetry, Holter Monitor, and Event Monitor hookups.
  
• 
  Maintain accurate documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR).
  
• 
  Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary team members to provide exceptional patient care.
