Respiratory Therapist

A professional is required to provide assessment, treatment, and monitoring of cardiopulmonary disease across the continuum of care. The role involves functioning as part of an interdisciplinary team that coordinates and provides continuity of care in a financially responsible manner. The professional must be able to quickly and accurately assess a patient's condition and effectively communicate with the care team regarding any changes in the patient's condition, results of diagnostic studies, symptomatology, and response to treatment.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or a healthcare-related field is preferred.
• Previous hospital experience is preferred.
• Additional NBRC specialty credentials are preferred.
• Good verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Ability to function with initiative and independent judgment.
• Desire for continuous quality improvement.
• Basic computer literacy.

Schedule Notes

Candidates must be willing to work any shift and a variety of schedules based on departmental needs. Ideally, flexibility to utilize 4x10-hour shifts, 5x8-hour shifts, and both day and night coverage as needed is desired. The schedule will remain flexible and be determined by staffing and patient care demands.
