Monitors: Unit specific equipment: AVEA vents, Servo U Vent, LPU 1200 Vents, Parapack vents for MRI, Hamilton vents for transport. AAH adheres to "fatigue policy where all staff, including travelers, cannot work more than 60 hours in a week or 5 consecutive 12hour shifts.

Floating Requirements: Floats within hospital to all units.

Minimum Years of Experience required: 1 year

• Will you accept a first-time traveler: Upon review

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:

• Mostly geriatrics and adults, some peds in the ED
• Case Load:
  • Case load will vary depending on acuity. Typical case load is 10-15 patients for general floor assignment, 6-8 patients for ICU assignment

Required License, National Certification, Certs:

• BLS, ACLS
• Will accept RRT or CRT

Skills required:

• Vent management, CPAP, BiPap, Nebs, a-line placement, assisting providers with intubation, vent weaning, extubation, ABGs

Support within the Department:

• Other RTs
• RNs on the floor
• Manager/Supervisor/Lead
• Dayshift staffing is 13-15 RTs

Technology/Equipment:

• EMR: EPIC
• IV Pump: N/A
• Med dispensing: Pyxis
• Monitors:

Floating: If yes, where:

• Float to all units at the hospital

Orientation (facility and unit) :

• NEO
• At least 1 shift to learn the flow

Scheduling:

• Weekend rotation: Every other
• On call: No
• Holiday Expectations: assigned as needed
• Approval of RTO: ok to approve up to 7 days off
• Shift times:
• Schedule cycle: Block scheduling will not be accommodated

• Overtime could be available, depending on needs
