We are currently hiring a Ventilator Patient Specialist to deliver expert respiratory management to patients in Eastern Massachusetts, near Boston. Position Overview:

As a Ventilator Patient Specialist, you will be responsible for managing complex ventilation needs in-home settings, conducting thorough assessments, and providing education to patients and their caregivers. You will be setting up, troubleshooting, and monitoring advanced respiratory equipment, maintaining detailed documentation, and offering on-call support to ensure continuous and safe respiratory care. Your expertise will directly enhance the quality of life for vulnerable patients, making this role both impactful and professionally rewarding.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide specialized respiratory care to pediatric and ALS ventilator-dependent patients in-home settings.
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to tailor respiratory therapy plans.
  • Set up, calibrate, and troubleshoot advanced respiratory equipment, including ventilators and related devices.
  • Educate patients and caregivers on the operation and maintenance of respiratory equipment.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of patient care and equipment usage.
  • Offer on-call consultation support for urgent or complex respiratory issues.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate ongoing patient care and adjustments.

Qualifications:
  • Active licensure as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Experience with pediatric and/or ALS ventilation management.
  • Proficiency in using equipment management and healthcare software (e.g., Care Orchestrator, Astral).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Preferred Additional Skills:
  • Home respiratory care experience.
  • Knowledge of advanced ventilation and respiratory equipment.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Work Schedule & Logistics:
  • Full-time, Monday through Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm.
  • On-call availability one week every 4–6 weeks.
  • Travel across Eastern Massachusetts required.

Compensation & Benefits:
  • Competitive hourly pay between $45 and $50, commensurate with experience.
  • Mileage reimbursement for travel.
  • Sign-On Bonus: $2,000 after 60 days, with an additional $2,000 after 180 days of employment.
