A Respiratory Therapist opportunity is available in Fort Walton Beach, FL at a 267-bed hospital offering an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery services, a main emergency room, a pediatric ER, and two freestanding ERs. The therapist administers oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy, and assists with placement of artificial airways while initiating, monitoring, and maintaining invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation.

A Respiratory Therapist opportunity is available in Fort Walton Beach, FL at a 267-bed hospital offering an Advanced Primary Stroke Center, a Cancer Care Center, open-heart surgery services, a main emergency room, a pediatric ER, and two freestanding ERs.

The role. The Respiratory Therapist functions as a core member of the patient care team, delivering diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services in alignment with state and specialty scope-of-practice standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing and documenting patient assessments — evaluating breath sounds, airway patency, and cuff pressure — and conducting diagnostic procedures to determine the need for and response to respiratory therapy. The therapist administers oxygen delivery, aerosol medication delivery, and chest physiotherapy, and assists with placement of artificial airways while initiating, monitoring, and maintaining invasive and noninvasive mechanical ventilation. The role also requires transporting ventilator-dependent patients and responding to emergent situations to ensure airway integrity and adequate ventilation during resuscitation.

What we're looking for.

• Associate Degree or Certificate Program in Respiratory
• NBRC and State Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) — new graduates and CRT candidates will also be considered
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• NRP - Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date

Schedule. Position is available on days or nights, both with rotating weekends.

Compensation. $24.93 - $33.59/hr
