Overview:

Compensation / Compensation

  • $27.83-$45.46/hr. based on previous work experience
  • Evening differential $2.50/hr.
  • Night differential $3.00/hr.
  • Weekend differential $3.00/hr.

Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates Respiratory Therapists and students on assigned shift. 
  • Performs all job duties of a Respiratory Therapist.
  • Assists in the performance improvement process for all therapeutic procedures, and risk management programs outlined by the hospital or Pulmonary Services department. 
  • Is an active member on the hospital CEC and other committee's as assigned.
  • Assists the Manager to resolve recurring problems. Provides input for performance evaluations. Assigns work schedules. Attends Coordinator meetings & actively participates. Assist the Manager Cardiopulmonary to standardize treatment modalities. Maintains appropriate inventory of equipment. Assists in reporting issues to Clinical Engineering. Prepare readiness of carts such as Bronchoscopy, crash cart and supply carts. 
Qualifications:

Education

  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree from an American Medical Association approved school of respiratory care required

Experience

  • Must have 2+ year of critical care experience
  • Leadership experience
  • Training in all aspects of Respiratory Care

 

Licensure/Certification

  • Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) as recognized by the National Board for Respiratory Care
  • Must obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) training is prior to providing patient care
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) training is required within 6 months of hire for Respiratory NICU staff and to be maintained thru duration of employment
  • ACLS and PALS is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment
