Rate of Pay: $58.99/hour - $67.84/hour
DOE (Base pay of $56.19 includes 5% temporary rate)
Summary
Performs all respiratory care interventions and duties in accordance with specific physician’s orders and department policies and procedures. Performs all routine and complex respiratory care procedures for patients of all ages in all areas of the hospital.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Carries out supervisory responsibility in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, training, assigning, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; administering scheduling systems; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.
Minimum Education/Experience
Associate's Degree
Graduation from an education program accredited by the Joint Review Committee for Respiratory Therapy Education (JRCRTE) and 2-3 years relevant experience
Required Licenses/Certifications
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS): Employees that have never been certified must take a live initial AHA certification class. Employees with recently expired certifications will be enrolled in Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI). Certification must be completed within specified time frame.
ACLS: Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Advanced Life Support (ALS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous ACLS certification).
BLS/ACLS/PALS: Employee will be enrolled in the Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Entry or Prep Curriculum (depending on their previous BLS, ACLS, and/or PALS certification).
Registered Respiratory Therapist
Upon hire
Must have valid RRT credential through the NBRC.
NOTE: Current employees have until January 1, 2026 to obtain this certification. Employees hired on or after October 10, 2025 must have upon hire.
