What You’ll Do

• Provide respiratory treatments, oxygen therapy, and ventilator support to diverse patient populations from neonatal to geriatric.
• Monitor and wean oxygen therapy and artificial ventilation.
• Perform and analyze arterial blood gases and EKGs.
• Assist with artificial airway management and diagnostic testing.
• Deliver patient education on respiratory procedures and treatment plans.
• Document all clinical information accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes.

What You Need
Required:

• Current Respiratory Therapist license in Louisiana
• Associate's Degree in Respiratory Therapy
• Certified Respiratory Therapist credential from NBRC
• BLS certification from American Heart Association
• Proficiency with Windows applications and data entry

Preferred:

• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Relevant clinical experience in respiratory care
