Golden Valley Charter Schools is seeking a dedicated and student-centered Resource Specialist (Resource Specialist Program - RSP) to join our Waldorf-inspired public charter school. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs while collaborating with passionate educators in a nurturing school community. As a Resource Specialist, you will serve as the case manager for students with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), provide Specialized Academic Instruction, collaborate closely with general education teachers and related service providers, and help ensure every student has the support needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: -Manage a caseload of students with IEPs and oversee all aspects of case management. -Coordinate assessments, eligibility determinations, and IEP meetings in accordance with state and federal timelines. -Provide Specialized Academic Instruction (SAI) and targeted intervention services. -Monitor student progress and collaborate with families, teachers, and service providers. -Support general education teachers with accommodations, modifications, and inclusive instructional practices. -Maintain legally compliant documentation and IEPs using SEIS. -Partner with administrators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure student success. -Mentor and collaborate with Special Education support staff as assigned. -Participate in professional learning and contribute to a positive, collaborative school culture. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: -Valid California Education Specialist Credential authorizing service as a Resource Specialist and case manager. -Experience developing and implementing IEPs. -Knowledge of California Special Education laws, procedures, and timelines. -Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills. -Valid California Driver s License.
