DEFINITION:
100% time Resource Specialist Teacher.
DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE TO:
Site Administrator or Designee and Director of Special Education.
IMMEDIATE SUBORDINATES:
Any assigned Classified Staff.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk; sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision and peripheral vision. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

CERTIFICATED VACANCY FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR: RESOURCE SPECIALIST - Central Valley High School SALARY: $57,466 - $119,669 - Based on 184 workdays Master Degree Stipend - $1,500.00 Doctorate Degree Stipend - $1,500.00 Includes contribution to a retirement system and access to health, dental, and vision benefits with District contribution. Preferred qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities: Preferred * Possession of a credential in the area of Special Education allowing the holder to work with students with Mild-to-Moderate Disabilities including Autism -Examples of applicable CA Credentials: -Education Specialist Extensive Support Needs -Education Specialist Mild to Moderate (embedded Autism Authorization) -Education Specialist Mild to Moderate with Autism Authorization -Education Specialist Mild to Moderate -Learning Handicapped (Ryan Specialist Instruction Teaching Credential) -Experience in working with SEIS preferred -Working knowledge of the IEP Process/SPED law preferred
