The Hazel Park community is proud and supportive of its schools, the staff and student population.Specific Qualifications:Valid Michigan teaching certificate with an Autism Endorsement (SA) requiredHighly Qualified in accordance with No Child Left Behind GuidelinesExperience in providing instructional services to students who are certified ASDExperience in providing visual schedules, daily routines, and flexible behavioral interventions for studentsThe ability to write, implement, and monitor IEP'sKnowledge and/or understanding in consistent use of data to monitor student growth, inform instruction, and develop interventionsExperience in differentiated instruction, Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports Systems, and individualized programming options for studentsAbility to integrate technology into the curriculumSuperior communication skills in writing and speaking with all levels of management and staffApplicants must be able to show proof of a satisfactory criminal background check as defined by state standardsJob Responsibilities:Provide differentiated instruction to students on caseloadEvaluate and monitor student growth, and develop targeted interventionsMaintain contact with parents of caseload studentsComplete caseload monthly Medicaid BillingPlan and participate in MET and IEPT meetings when appropriateConsult, communicate, and collaborate with other professionals regarding specific students, educational plans and programsAdapt materials and activities according to students needsMaintain records in accordance with professional standards, federal and state guidelines, and school district policyPrioritize and schedule tasksManage inventory of equipment, assessments, and suppliesCPI Training preferredDirect and supervisor the classroom paraprofessionalOther duties as assigned by administratorCompensation: Accordance with the Salary Schedule - H.P.E.A.
