Repairs and maintains electric, diesel and gasoline equipment by diagnosing mechanical failures, attaching compression, ignition, and timing test instruments to certain parts of equipment, using clamps and hand tools, starting engine dials, reading meters and gauges, testing equipment to identify engine malfunctions, removing and disassembling engines, transmissions and clutches, using hoists, jacks, and mechanic's hand tools, inspecting parts for damage, grinding valves, relining and adjusting brakes, tightening bolts, aligning wheels and tuning engines as needed, verifying dimensions and clearances of parts for conformance to factory specifications, using gauges, calipers, and micrometers, replacing or repairing worn and/or damaged parts, grinding valves, relining and adjusting brakes, tightening bolts, aligning wheels, tuning engines as needed, and scheduling preventative maintenance following established procedures.- 60%Ensures adequate parts inventory levels by obtaining price and availability quotes from vendors, collaborating with vendors and Course Maintenance Assistant Superintendent, Superintendent of Golf and Director of Agronomy to resolve parts issues, and replacing standard parts when inventory is low.- 20%Maintains and organizes parts inventory by receiving and labeling ordered parts with proper vendor information, placing parts on designated inventory shelves, keeping track of warranty expiration dates, logging and accounting for parts coming in and parts utilization, and analyzing parts logs to determine frequency of use and need for parts replacement.- 15%Maintains safe work area by observing established safety standards while using tools, performing equipment repairs, and cleaning and organizing work areas.- 5%
Job Specifications:Education and Experience:Essential:
High school diploma or G.E.D.5 years experience repairing electric, diesel and gasoline equipmentCalifornia Drivers License in good standing

Certificate in the repair of electric cartsExposure to the golf and/or hotel industry
