Description

Our client, a large financial services company, is seeking an experienced Resiliency Practitioner for a 14 month contract assignment.  This role is fully remote.

The Resiliency Practitioner is responsible for the development and implementation of business continuity programs to mitigate impact on business operations of potential adverse conditions due to natural or structural disasters, acts of terror/war, and cyber attacks. This job evaluates risks and analyzes potential losses while developing solutions through testing various disaster recovery plans. This job is also responsible for performing periodic testing of business continuity plans to ensure that the organization can recover from losses in an efficient and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Develops and maintains business continuity plans and strategies to ensure continuity of critical functions during and following an emergency or disaster.
  • Researches and evaluates best practices for investment organizations and business activities to control various risks; researches all investment risk management policies and procedures, limits, and guidelines.
  • Evaluates business continuity plans to identify opportunities for strategic improvement or mitigation of business interruption.
  • Develops technology-based tools and metrics and performs statistical data analysis to report, monitor, measure, and manage various aspects of investment risk exposures.
  • Develops and facilitates training and awareness education of business continuity plans to departments across the organization.
  • Develops and implements processes, tools, and techniques to evaluate and validate investments models. Implements ongoing model validation processes.
  • Performs periodic testing of business continuity plans to ensure efficient and timely resumption of critical functions and the return to normal operations.
  • Develops and implements a risk management framework to better manage, measure, monitor, and report aggregate global investments risk exposures.
  • Tests and revises disaster recovery strategies to ensure effectiveness against real situations.
  • Recommends methods to enable resolution of safety, operations, or compliance interruptions.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
  • Coaches, reviews, and delegates work to lower-level business continuity analysts.

Educational Requirements
  • University (Degree) Preferred

Requirements
  • 5+ Years Required; 7+ Years Preferred
  • 3+ years of hands-on BIA and risk assessment execution (not just plan maintenance)
  • Experience producing documentation for formal attestation and second line (2LOD) review, with discipline to self-QA before submission\
  • Working knowledge of an enterprise GRC tool (Archer preferred)
  • Ability to document dependencies, recovery strategies, and impact tolerances
  • Experience coordinating with LOBs, IT, and other stakeholder groups on plan development, testing, and execution
  • Financial services or other regulated-industry background
  • Strong documentation/technical writing skills for playbooks and recovery scripts
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and support real-time triage/escalation during disruptive incidents
  • BCM certification (CBCP, MBCI, or CBCI) – strongly preferred,
  • Financial services or other regulated-industry background.  Knowledge of FFIEC and FINRA business continuity requirements
  • Experience working as a business continuity / resiliency consultant preferred


Pay Rate $57.13 - $59.13
