Overview
TalentFish is casting a line for a Resiliency Control Testing Specialist. This is a direct hire role in Rosemont, Illinois, with three days onsite each week. The role will independently test Security and Fraud controls designed to protect CLIENT's critical business services and operational capabilities. The specialist will advise control owners, evaluate whether controls are appropriately designed and operating effectively, and provide clear reporting on control performance. This is a control testing and assurance position, not a cybersecurity engineering role.
What You Bring to the Role. (Ideal Experience)
Experience independently executing control testing, validation, risk assessment, or assurance activities.
Practical knowledge of cybersecurity, fraud, technology, third-party security, business continuity, and operational resiliency controls.
Ability to assess control design and operating effectiveness and provide credible guidance to control owners.
Experience identifying control deficiencies, exceptions, and emerging risks through evidence review and root cause analysis.
Strong documentation and reporting skills, including the ability to produce executive-ready findings and validate AI-assisted work products.
What You'll Do. (Skills Used in this Position)
Execute risk-based testing of Security and Fraud controls and document conclusions on design and operating effectiveness.
Review evidence, challenge control performance, and advise control owners on gaps and opportunities to strengthen sustainable outcomes.
Identify and report control deficiencies, exceptions, emerging risks, and root causes through clear process mapping and analysis.
Track remediation activities and perform validation and retesting of corrective actions to confirm issues are resolved.
Support control governance and KPI and KRI reporting while using approved AI capabilities to improve evidence gathering and executive reporting.

The expected compensation range for this position is market rate, depending on experience and qualifications.
