    Job Purpose:

    • The Residential Specialist - Shift II at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER is responsible for providing high-quality care and support to residents within the facility. This role involves ensuring the safety, well-being, and personal development of individuals in a residential setting, while maintaining a therapeutic environment that promotes recovery and independence.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Supervise and monitor residents during assigned shifts to ensure their safety and adherence to program rules and guidelines.
    • Assist residents with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management, as needed.
    • Implement and facilitate therapeutic activities and programs designed to enhance residents' social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of residents' progress, incidents, and any other pertinent information in compliance with organizational policies.
    • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for residents.
    • Respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures.
    • Foster a supportive and respectful environment by building positive relationships with residents, staff, and other stakeholders.
    • Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge relevant to the role.
    • Uphold the mission and values of LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER in all interactions and activities.

    Required Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent. A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is preferred.

    Required Experience:

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience working in a residential or behavioral health setting.
    • Experience in crisis intervention and management is highly desirable.
    • Familiarity with mental health disorders and treatment plans.

    Required Skills and Abilities:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with residents and staff.
    • Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor in high-pressure situations.
    • Proficiency in documentation and record-keeping to ensure accurate resident information.
    • Capability to work independently and as part of a team to support residents' needs.
    • Understanding of confidentiality and ethical standards in a behavioral health environment.
