Finn is looking for a hands-on Residential Remodeling Superintendent to lead and oversee high-quality remodeling projects throughout Chicago's Northwest suburbs.This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Superintendent, Lead Carpenter, or residential construction professional who is ready to take on greater responsibility and lead projects in the field.For more than 35 years, Patrick A. With more than 800 completed remodeling and construction projects, we are proud to be one of the area's premier design-build remodeling companies.We're looking for someone who knows what a well-run jobsite looks like and takes pride in making it happen.What You'll DoAs our Superintendent, you'll play a critical role in keeping projects organized, moving forward, and meeting Patrick A. Finn's high standards for craftsmanship and professionalism.Your responsibilities will include:Oversee day-to-day operations on residential remodeling jobsites.Coordinate and manage subcontractors, trade partners, suppliers, and material deliveries.Help maintain project schedules and ensure work is progressing efficiently.Conduct regular jobsite walkthroughs to monitor quality, safety, cleanliness, and workmanship.Review plans and field conditions and identify potential construction challenges before they become larger problems.Coordinate inspections and help ensure work meets local building codes and company quality standards.Communicate regularly with the Project Manager, design team, office staff, and trade partners to keep projects moving forward.Provide professional, respectful communication when interacting with homeowners on the jobsite.Help resolve day-to-day construction challenges and make sound decisions in the field.Maintain accurate jobsite documentation, including daily logs, photos, and project updates.Support and lead carpenters and other field team members while promoting accountability, teamwork, and a positive jobsite culture.What We're Looking ForWe're less concerned with finding someone who has held one specific job title and more interested in finding someone who understands how to successfully lead work in the field.You may be a great fit if you have:5+ years of experience in residential remodeling, custom home construction, or a related construction environment.Experience as a Superintendent, Lead Carpenter, Foreman, or other hands-on construction leadership role.Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, sequencing, and jobsite operations.The ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents.Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make confident decisions in the field.A high level of organization and attention to detail.Strong communication and leadership skills.A commitment to quality craftsmanship, safety, and professionalism.Comfort using technology and construction management software.A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.Experience in design-build remodeling is a plus, but we welcome candidates with strong residential construction backgrounds who are ready to grow into the role.What We OfferCompetitive starting salary of approximately $75,000-$80,000 per yearPerformance-based bonus potential with total earnings of $90,000Health insurance for full-time employeesPaid time offSix paid holidays each year, with the office typically closed between Christmas and New Year's401(k) plan with profit-sharing eligibility after six months of employmentProfessional development and long-term career growth opportunitiesA collaborative, family-oriented culture built around craftsmanship, accountability, and doing things the right wayHow To ApplyIf you're someone who takes pride in a clean jobsite, quality craftsmanship, a well-organized project, and a job done right, we'd like to meet you.Whether you're an experienced Superintendent or a strong Lead Carpenter ready for the next step in your career, this could be an opportunity to grow with a company that has spent more than 35 years building exceptional homes and lasting relationships.Apply today and help us continue building homes our clients are proud to live in and projects our team is proud to put their name on.
