    Residential Production CAD Technician

You’ll join a collaborative, in-house Drafting team supporting one of Florida’s largest home builders, headquartered at the north end of Sarasota County.     Your Day

    Each morning you’ll review executed sales contracts and approved standards, translating them into construction-ready plan sets. Throughout the day, you’ll coordinate closely with Construction, Engineering, and Field teams, applying redlines and releasing accurate, compliant drawings that keep build schedules on track.

    What You’ll Do

    • Produce permit- and field-ready production drawings from executed contracts and standard plans
    • Draft and update floor plans, interior elevations, and site plans using established templates
    • Create and maintain as-built documentation, lot fits, and community-specific site plans
    • Incorporate revisions from Construction, Engineering, and Field with accuracy and speed
    • Maintain CAD standards, blocks, and libraries to ensure consistency across all plans
    • Perform quality checks for completeness and compliance prior to release

    What You Bring

    • 2–5 years of hands-on AutoCAD drafting experience
    • Proven skill interpreting redlines, construction documents, and builder standards
    • Meticulous attention to detail and disciplined document management
    • Comfort operating in a production-driven, deadline-focused environment
    • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
    • Clear communicator who collaborates effectively with field and office teams
