When a group of families came together in 1957 to find services for their children with developmental disabilities, ACLD was born. Today, we are a leading not-for-profit agency employing 1000+ staff and providing over 70 program sites in Nassau and Suffolk. ACLD (Adults and Children with Learning and Developmental Disabilities, Inc.) is looking for a seasoned, dynamic Residential Manager to direct the day-to-day operations of an adult residential group home.

Responsibilities

  • Promote a positive and productive work environment
  • Hire, train and coach all direct care employees including Assistant Manager
  • Promote ACLD's values and strategic vision
  • Develop and manage Individual Service Plans and Plans of Protection/Behavior Support Plans
  • Ensure oversight of Health & Fire Safety
  • Manage crisis situations and behavioral issues as the needs arise
  • Manage budgets and ensure sound fiscal management procedures are being followed
  • Ensure accurate documentation and service billing is complete and submitted in a timely fashion

Requirements

  • High School Diploma
  • Two years experience working in I/DD field
  • One year supervisory experience
  • Strong managerial skills and written and verbal communication skills
  • Clean and valid New York driver's license
  • Strong Microsoft Office computer skills
