Residential Maintenance Technician

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS : Perform plumbing repairs, including fixtures, sewer lines, and drain stoppages. The contract position is needed immediately, pending national background and driving record checks, as well as a 10-panel drug screening.

CMHA is currently in need of five fulltime contractors for the position of General Maintenance. 

• The pay for this position is as follows:
• $22 hourly for a candidate with two (2) years of relevant experience
• Please include your total bill rate with the submission of resumes
• Duration of the contractor role will last through July 31, 2026.
• Work schedule will be, Monday through Friday, 8: 00 a.M.-4: 40 p.M., with a 40-minute unpaid lunch.  Weekend hours may be needed on occasion.
• Interviews will be required for the position with CMHA’s Human Resources (myself).

• Property Management office location for the positions will be determined but will be within Cincinnati.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Perform plumbing repairs, including fixtures, sewer lines, and drain stoppages.
• Troubleshoot and repair furnaces, hot water tanks, and basic electrical systems.
• Install and repair lighting, switches, outlets, doors, windows, cabinets, and flooring.
• Complete carpentry, painting, drywall, and general maintenance repairs.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy and maintain common areas.
• Maintain property curb appeal by keeping grounds and facilities clean and hazard-free.
• Deliver exceptional customer service to residents and team members.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain clean work areas.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two (2) years of maintenance, construction, or related experience.
• Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and effectively prioritize work assignments.
• Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required.  No more than 6 points in 3 consecutive years.
