Work Experience Description:
Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.
Job Summary
Serve as a facilitator by promoting interactions that educate and support establishing peace in on-campus housing through Residential Living.
Primary Responsibilities
- Serve and collaborate as a member of the Residential Living Council to develop content, materials and events to support Residential Living.
- Educate students, staff and ecclesiastical members about the Principles of Residential Living.
- Be both self-directed in independent projects and able to work collaboratively with partners/groups.
- Positively interact with diverse populations and participate in intentional engagement with student residents.
- Be sensitive to and respect confidential concerns.
- Be familiar with and able to refer students, when necessary, to appropriate resources and services.
- Be professional in appearance and interactions.
Education
Lower Division Courses Completed.
Required
- Must be able to live in single on-campus housing.
Preference
- At least a two-semester commitment to this position within Student Living.
- English Proficient.
- Experience with Microsoft Suite.
Work Experience
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM with possible evening hours or when needed.
