As the Residential Life Operations Supervisor, you set the tone for an orderly, supportive living environment—balancing supervision, documentation, and facility oversight with calm, consistent leadership.

What a shift can look like

From ensuring dorm cleanliness and security to coordinating with counselors and instructors, you keep the wheels turning. You monitor activity across dorms, cafeteria, laundry, and recreation spaces, complete precise logs and reports, and help students follow policies that keep everyone safe. Whether on an evening, overnight, or weekend shift, your steady presence keeps the campus running smoothly.

Schedule & pay

• Pay: $18/hr
• Availability: 2nd or 3rd shift, including weekends
• Shifts:
  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – Midnight
  • 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM – 8:30 AM

Core responsibilities

• Sustain a safe, clean, and well-managed dorm environment; oversee cleanup and submit maintenance/repair requests as needed
• Provide steady supervision in dorms, cafeteria, laundry, recreation areas, and during on-site/off-site activities
• Uphold rules and procedures to maintain a structured living space
• Conduct routine safety checks and monitor facility activity throughout your shift
• Maintain accurate logbooks, reports, and documentation per center and DOL guidelines
• Communicate effectively with counselors, instructors, supervisors, and other staff regarding daily operations
• Support evening, overnight, and weekend programming as assigned
• Assist with dorm meetings and encourage student peer leadership structures
• Follow all center policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements
• Participate in required staff training and operational briefings

What you bring

• High school diploma or GED
• Strong administrative, supervisory, or management experience
• Excellent organization, communication, and documentation abilities
• Professional, firm, and fair approach to enforcing rules and boundaries
• Confidence working independently and making sound decisions during off-hours
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, email, internet, Adobe Acrobat)
• Familiarity with residential operations, facilities oversight, or shift supervision is a plus
• Valid state driver’s license

Physical & work environment

• Regularly able to sit, reach, talk, and listen
• Occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable in a moderately noisy setting
