Reliant Mechanical is a full-service mechanical contracting firm operating in the industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential segments and we are hiring! We have 100+ associates based in Ohio skilled in installation, maintenance and repairs of heating, cooling and refrigeration systems, equipment, plumbing and fixtures, process piping, sheet metal and structural steel. We are adding a Residential HVAC Service Technician to our growing team! The Service Technician is responsible for troubleshooting, maintenance and system-start ups on all types of HVAC equipment for our industrial, commercial, and residential customers. The successful candidate must be EPA universal refrigerant certified, be a team player, self-starter, and have at least 5 years professional experience as a service technician. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - PMs, troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing commercial HVAC Systems (Up to 20 tons), controls, chilled water systems, boilers, variable volume air systems, and DDC controls.
- Install, fabricate and/or connect compressors, condensers, evaporators, motors, expansion/discharge valves, temperature/humidity controls, fans, control panels, switches, fuses, filters, gauges, ducts, piping, tubing, environmental controls, and related components, complete power connections.
- Maintain and be accountable for inventories, requisitions, materials, and supplies needed for each job.
- Complete work in a safe, timely, neat, and professional manner.
- Have a professional, courteous, and respectful attitude towards customers and fellow employees.
- Communicate effectively with customers, management, and dispatchers.
- Follow all company and customer safety rules and regulations.

- EPA Certification and OSHA 10 Certification or the ability to complete
- Solid electrical and mechanical skills
- Dedication to working safely and accurately
- The physical ability to lift 50+lbs on occasion
- The physical ability to climb stairs, ladders, scaffolds, stand, walk, sit, bend, reach, stoop, crouch, crawl, squat, kneel, grasp, lift, manipulate hand and power tools
- Strong communication, problem-solving skills, and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to customer locations
- Possess a valid driver’s license and an acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and pre-employment drug screening
Schedule - On call rotation every 4-6 weeks with a 1 week on call. Start time can be flexible and end time based on call volume
