Residential HVAC Lead Installation Technician

A day in this role

Sun up to sign-off, you’re leading residential installation projects that keep families comfortable. You kick off with a review of plans, align your crew on the blueprint, then map out duct runs and lay out materials. The rest of your day blends hands-on installs—RTUs, split systems, VRF, and VAV—with precision tasks like setting controls, pulling and brazing refrigeration lines, and balancing air distribution. You verify every detail, coach your team for quality craftsmanship, and leave the homeowner with a system you’re proud to stand behind.

What you’ll lead

• Residential installs across RTU, split systems, VRF, VAV, and controls
• Complete ductwork installation with quality fit and seal
• Refrigeration line installation and commissioning
• Air distribution setup and verification
• Reading and executing from blueprints
• Sheet metal work (a plus)
