As a Residential HVAC Installation Technician, you will install complete heating and cooling systems for residential and light commercial customers. You will ensure every installation meets company standards while maintaining a clean job site, communicating professionally with customers, and working safely throughout every project.
Install furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini split systems, and indoor air quality products
Install duct systems, refrigerant piping, gas lines, venting, condensate drains, and electrical connections
Complete equipment replacements, retrofit projects, and new construction installations
Perform equipment startup, refrigerant charging, operational testing, and final commissioning
Read blueprints, installation drawings, and manufacturer instructions
Verify proper airflow, equipment performance, and overall system operation
Ensure every installation complies with local codes, manufacturer requirements, and company quality standards
Maintain organized company vehicles, tools, and job sites
Communicate effectively with homeowners, builders, supervisors, and fellow technicians
Assist with training and supporting less experienced installation team members when needed
Follow company safety procedures on every project
Two or more years of residential HVAC installation experience preferred
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Strong understanding of residential HVAC installation methods
Experience installing furnaces, air conditioners, heat pumps, mini split systems, and indoor air quality equipment
Knowledge of duct construction, refrigeration piping, gas piping, electrical systems, and low-voltage controls
Ability to troubleshoot installation concerns and verify proper system performance
Ability to interpret blueprints, installation layouts, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
EPA Certification is preferred
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to safely lift equipment and work in attics, crawl spaces, rooftops, and outdoor weather conditions
