About the Role:Childers Door Service of Central Illinois is looking for a skilled and dependable Residential Garage Door Installer to join our growing team in Hudson, IL. Responsibilities:- Install new residential garage doors, tracks, springs, and hardware on new and existing homes
- Perform service, maintenance, and repairs on garage door systems and openers
- Diagnose mechanical and operational issues with torsion and extension spring systems
- Ensure proper alignment, balance, and safe operation of all installed doors
- Communicate professionally with homeowners throughout the installation process
- Maintain a clean, organized work vehicle and job site
- Complete service documentation and work orders accurately
Requirements:- Prior experience in garage door installation, general construction, or a related trade preferred
- Familiarity with hand and power tools used in door installation and service
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work in physically demanding conditions
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Self-motivated, reliable, and able to manage time effectively in the field
