Job Description
The Commercial / Residential Estimator will report to the preconstruction leadership team and play a key role in developing accurate project estimates and proposals. The successful Commercial / Residential Estimator will work closely with operations personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and customers to help secure profitable work and ensure successful project delivery.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
- Perform quantity takeoffs and develop detailed cost estimates.
- Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and material suppliers.
- Prepare competitive bid proposals and supporting documentation.
- Collaborate with operations teams during preconstruction and project handoff.
- Manage multiple estimates and bidding opportunities simultaneously.
- Assist with budgeting, value engineering, and scope clarification throughout the preconstruction process.

The Successful Applicant
For the Commercial / Residential Estimator we are seeking:
- Experience in construction estimating within residential, commercial, or related construction environments.
- Residential construction experience preferred, with concrete, foundations, flatwork, site development, excavation, or homebuilding backgrounds highly valued.
- Strong blueprint reading and quantity takeoff experience.
- Understanding of construction methods, materials, labor, and pricing.
- Ability to manage multiple bids while meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
- Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office applications.
- Experience coordinating with builders, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Knowledge of the Colorado construction market is a plus.
