Residential Building Porter - Union Position

We’re in search of a hard-working team player to join us as a residential building porter. You’ll be in charge of the cleanliness, maintenance, and safety of our building. A typical day includes vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing floors, shampooing carpets, and any additional maintenance duties as needed. Schedule:

• Sunday: 7 AM – 4 PM

• Monday: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM

• Tuesday: Off

• Wednesday: Off

• Thursday: 5:30 AM – 2:30 PM

• Friday: 7 AM – 4 PM

• Saturday: 9 AM – 6 PM

This is a union position (Local 670), which includes health and pension benefits.

$20 -25 hourly

• Complete regularly scheduled maintenance duties like cleaning windows, shampooing carpets, supplying restrooms, changing light bulbs, and performing minor repairs
• Ensure the building is clean, safe, and well-maintained
• Perform daily janitorial duties such as vacuuming, mopping, scrubbing restrooms, dusting furniture, and emptying trash
• Secure building by locking doors once cleaning is complete
• Remove dangerous hazards and clean up spills with squeegees or sponges

• Possesses a strong work ethic and have high attention to detail
• 1+ years of experience as a janitor, cleaning crew member, or similar position
• Experience with a variety of cleaning supplies and cleaning equipment
• In good physical condition with excellent health
• Must have a U.S. driver’s license or reliable transportation to and from the worksite
