    The Residential Manager assumes primary responsibility for all program aspects ensures the individuals&rsquo medical emotional and safety needs are met advocates for individual rights and needs facilitates habilitation. The Residential Manager also manages trains and develops Direct Support Specialists.Essential DutiesResponsibilities and Essential Duties including but not limited to the following as well as any other duties as assigned by supervisory staff.

    Ensure individuals are safe healthy and living in a clean environment by conducting daily facility and vehicle inspections and delegating assignments cleaning and maintenance of the facility developing evacuation plans and conducting monthly evacuation drills.

    Monitor compliance of medical recommendations including medication supply and associated documentation medical appointments and associated documentation appointment preparation appointment follow-up and prescribed diets.

    Ensure that a weekly menu is developed and implemented that meets dietary guidelines and fiscal budgets.

    Report review and sign all incidents including allegations of abuse neglect exploitation injury and other reportable incidents immediately upon discovery.

    Facilitate individualized service plan meetings communicate assessment outcomes review individualized service plan and conduct training with staff.

    Maintenance of records for all individuals within the program including progress notes maintenance of all agency documentation related to program operations.

    Provide assistance in daily activities which may include bathing feeding cooking and toileting.

    Monitor assigned calendars to coordinate staffing and transportation for routine follow-up and annual appointments recreational activities and required meetings.

    Communicate with guardians support coordinators and other internal and external stakeholders.

    Adhere to all confidentiality policies practices and laws.

    Assist the agency with ethical management of individuals&rsquo funds monitor transactions and maintain receipts bank statements and other required financial documentation.

    Facilitate and document monthly staff and resident meetings Attend meetings and training as required.

    Interview and on-board Conduct initial training on routine responsibilities specialized training requirements individualized service plans and other job duties as required.

    Sustainimprove staff retention through building morale identify opportunities for incentives acknowledgement etc.

    Generate staff schedule ensure appropriate staff coverage and monitor time keeping. Cover shifts as necessary.

    Evaluate staff performance routinely review competency and completion of job duties expectations and assignments comply with all performance- and employment-related policies and procedures through supervision progressive discipline and performance evaluations.

    Must be able to properly support implement and approve if applicable personal control techniques to ensure safety.

    Demonstrate an understanding of and compliance with regulatory standards. Adhere and enforce all Agency policies and procedures.

    Identify improvements to quality efficiency and efficacy within the program to meet the mission and vision of the Agency Develop and implement effective Corrective Action Plans.

    QualificationsThe employee must successfully complete and demonstrate proficiency in all areas of required training and essential duties to include the following but not limited to

    American Red Cross Adult First AidCPR and recertification every two years.

    Agency approved Crisis Management and recertification annually.

    Initial Medication Administration with on-site competency assessment and annually thereafter.

    Initial Preventing Abuse and Neglect with on-site competency assessment and annually thereafter.

    Positive Behavior Supports.

    12 hours of professional development annually per calendar year prorated at one hour per month.

    Specialized Training as required.

    The employee shall be 18 years of age or older and possess a driver&rsquos license valid in the State of New Jersey probational licenses are not accepted.

    The employee must submit to a criminal background check and be determined to be not disqualified by the Department of Human Services prior to working with individuals.

    The employee must agree to have their name checked against the Central Registry of Offenders Against Individuals with Developmental Disabilities.

    The employees hired after 6152018 shall submit to drug testing prior to employment.

    All direct care employees shall submit to drug testing conducted randomly and for cause.

    All employees shall complete an application to have their name checked against the Child Abuse Registry Information CARI

    All employees must demonstrate successful completion of a Pre-employment physical Pre-employment tuberculosis test as required by The State of New Jersey Department of Human Services.

    Clearance based on a 3-year and annual motor vehicle abstract assessment.
