    Were looking for a caring, resourceful, and people-focused Resident Services Coordinator II to support residents at Vista Alegre, an affordable housing community serving seniors in Glendale, Arizona.

    Location: Vista Alegre | Glendale, AZ | On-Site

    Pay: $21.21-$23.50/hour, depending on experience + sign-on bonus up to $2,500

    Spanish/English bilingual candidates and individuals with social services experience are strongly preferred.

    What Youll Do

    This is a hands-on, people-centered role! About 60% of your time will be spent working in the office, with the remaining 40% focused on resident outreach and engagement.

    Duties

    • Build relationships with residents and help connect them with helpful resources and services.
    • Support residents using a trauma-informed and compassionate approach.
    • Have thoughtful and sometimes difficult conversations with residents while providing excellent customer service.
    • Get to know the community by conducting needs assessments, attending community meetings, and listening to residents.
    • Plan and lead programs, activities, and events that support resident well-being and stability.
    • Track program participation and outcomes and enter required information into Mercy Housings database.
    • Help meet reporting requirements for programs and funding partners.
    • Evaluate programs and services to understand whats working and where improvements can be made.
    • Partner with community organizations and agencies to connect residents with additional resources.
    • Support and organize the community food pantry, including preparing and occasionally delivering food boxes to residents.
    • Help maintain clean and welcoming spaces, including the community room, kitchen, pantry, and office.
    • Get out into the community - youll distribute flyers and other information directly to residents, including occasional door-to-door outreach.
    • Participate in Mercy Housing activities and collaborate with community partners.
    • Take on other projects and responsibilities as needed.

    What Were Looking For

    Required Quaifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • At least two years of experience in community development, social services, or a related field.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • English/Spanish bilingual skills.
    • Experience supporting individuals with mental health challenges.
    • Experience working with seniors and/or individuals with developmental disabilities.
    • Bachelors Degree in a related field.
    • Experience conducting community assessments.
    • Experience organizing community groups, events, or programs.

    • Handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

    Physical & Working Requirements

    • This role includes both office and community-based work. You should be comfortable walking around the property, climbing stairs, and occasionally pushing or pulling items weighing less than 30 pounds.
    • You should also be able to read documents, communicate clearly in English, stay focused on detailed tasks, and manage multiple responsibilities throughout the day.
