    Position: Resident Services Assistant

    Supervisor: Resident Services/Event Coordinator

    Job Summary: This position assists the Resident Services Coordinator as directed in planning, organizing and promoting education, social and entertainment events for the Village Residents.

    Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

    • Works front desk, answer phone and questions residents have in a professional manner
    • Works with other departments in planning and organizing events
    • Assists with coordinating entertainers, speakers and other event related vendors
    • Participates and attends events as directed to ensure success of all events
    • Assists in coordinating transportation, promotion, setup/breakdown, decoration and dining services and public areas including, but not limited to, the Barker Center & Pavilion
    • Order event tickets and promotional information as directed
    • Assist with promotion of events through the Village, Weekly, Knox TV Resident Portal and other areas of resident communications
    • Explores new ideas to meet the social and educational needs of varied resident cultures and backgrounds
    • Assists in keeping the Barker Center clean and well-kept.
    • Work evening events when needed.
    • Other duties as requested or assigned.

     

    Working conditions:

    • Usually works indoors, occasionally works outdoors during outside events and parties

    Customer/Guest Relations & Communications:

    • Must maintain a professional, respectful, friendly demeanor with all residents, family members, guests and staff at all times

    Educational, Physical and Other Requirements:

    • Must pass Level 2 background screening through the Florida Clearinghouse (Learn more: https://info.flclearinghouse.com)

    • Employee must be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Physical requirements may include frequent use of hand to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear.     • Must utilize current scheduling, event planning, publishing and promotion related software
    • Must be able to maintain regular attendance and punctuality according to company policy
