To us, packaging is much more than a box—it's delivering what's right for our customers, their customers, our people, and the planet.About The RoleA Packsize Machine Technician will install, configure and maintain Packsize equipment solutions onsite at a designated customer's facilities. They must be a creative problem solver with the ability to identify, analyze, maintain and repair complex mechanical equipment and answer difficult customer questions about product features. A Machine Technician will perform start‑up testing and deliver customer training on product capabilities, features and general maintenance of the product. They will build and maintain a strong, trust‑based customer relationship with their assigned customer(s) and will work closely with other supporting Packsize team members to provide exceptional customer service.What You'll DoScheduling tasks at a customer's job sitesTroubleshooting issues quickly and effectively using technical drawings and documentationWork cross‑functionally with R&D, Software and Quality Engineering teamsPerform routine maintenance and emergency services as they ariseAnalyze customer Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify machine performance issues and solve problemsContinuously learn the customer's operational processes, packaging designs and technical specificationsInstall Packsize solutions and train others to use and maintain themPerform basic clerical and administrative duties—reading emails, preparing expense reports, making travel arrangements, writing technical reports, etc.Communicate information and ideas clearly with Packsize and customer personnelAdhere to all Packsize and customer safety requirements, including protocols for moving parts and electricityDemonstrate excellent work ethic and time‑management skillsMachine OperationClear jams, load Z-fold, change labels, replace bander paper, and add glue to the machine.What You'll BringCustomer service focusKnowledge of Windows platformsProficiency with hand toolsKnowledge of mechanical platformsAbility to work independently with little or no direct supervisionBasic Microsoft (Excel, Word) or Google Suite (Sheets, Docs) experience helpful but not requiredAssociate's Degree, Vocational Training, or equivalent experienceBachelor's Degree in a related field preferredWorking Environment and Physical DemandsCommunicate with others to exchange informationWork within a production facility, warehouse, or manufacturing environmentMove in different positions to accomplish tasks in tight and confined spacesTravel through work sites and from one work site to anotherStand for prolonged periodsWork in a noisy environment at various temperaturesMove objects weighing up to 50 lbsAscend and descend ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, and stepsBend, stretch, push, pull, carry, and reach as requiredTravel RequirementsAll work is performed at customer's facilitiesAvailable on‑callOvernight travel may be required for initial and periodic trainingAbility to travel by vehicle or airplane domesticallyWhat We Offer$33–$36 USD per hour is the salary range for this role.
