    Are you eager to make a difference and build meaningful connections with residents every day? Oriol Healthcare is seeking a compassionate, energetic, and creative Resident Life Assistant to join our team at the Wachusett Respiratory Care Unit at Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center.

    Under the direction of the Resident Life Director, the Resident Life Assistant plays an important role in enhancing residents' quality of life through engaging recreational, social, and therapeutic activities. This position focuses on promoting dignity, choice, independence, socialization, and emotional well-being while creating meaningful experiences tailored to each resident's interests, abilities, and preferences.

    Schedule

    30 Hours/Week Monday - Friday
    Hours: 10:00 AM - 4:30 PM

    Compensation

    Hourly Rate: $16.25 - $19.42 per hour

    What You'll Do

    • Plan, organize, and assist with daily group and one-on-one recreational activities.
    • Encourage residents to participate in programs that promote social engagement, independence, and overall well-being.
    • Support special events, holiday celebrations, community outings, and themed activities.
    • Adapt activities to meet the varying physical, cognitive, and emotional needs of residents.
    • Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
    • Assist with maintaining activity calendars, supplies, and program documentation.
    • Help create a welcoming, fun, and resident-centered environment that enriches daily life.
    • Provide support during activity programs for residents with varying levels of mobility and abilities.

    • Ability to assist and interact with residents who have varying physical and cognitive needs.
    • Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare, recreation, or activities setting is preferred but not required.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
    • Activity Assistant Certificate preferred.
    • Previous experience working with residents and familiarity with resident limitations and needs preferred.
    • Knowledge of recreational, social, and therapeutic activities for older adults is desirable.
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the Resident Life team.
