Resident DJ & Entertainment Coordinator

Position Overview:

Resident DJ & Entertainment Coordinator

Location: Memphis, TN
Job Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $38,000-$45,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: 35-40 hours/week, including nights, weekends, holidays, major sporting events, and special events

 

About the Role

Rowand Hospitality is seeking an experienced Resident DJ & Entertainment Coordinator to lead entertainment programming across multiple hospitality venues. This is more than a DJ position. You'll combine live performance, music curation, event coordination, sports programming, visual content management, and guest experience development to help create unforgettable atmospheres across our growing portfolio.

• Fat Tuesday Memphis
• Walt & Ricky's Seafood Kitchen
• Pour House (opening soon)
• Future Rowand Hospitality concepts and special events

Key Responsibilities

• Perform live DJ sets for brunches, happy hours, game days, nightlife, holidays, and special events.
• Serve as MC for promotions, celebrations, contests, and venue activations.
• Develop and manage playlists tailored to each venue's brand and audience.
• Coordinate TV, screen, and sports programming across multiple locations.
• Manage birthday, anniversary, and guest celebration presentations.
• Support entertainment planning for major sporting events, grand openings, holidays, private events, and promotional activations.
• Maintain entertainment schedules, DJ bookings, and event calendars.

Qualifications

Required

• Professional DJ experience.
• Strong MC and crowd-engagement skills.
• Broad music knowledge across multiple genres.
• Experience in hospitality, nightlife, entertainment, sports bar, or event environments.
• Excellent organization and multitasking skills.
• Comfortable with audio/visual equipment, TV programming, and entertainment technology.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.

Preferred

• Event and entertainment scheduling experience.
• Sports programming knowledge.
• Marketing and promotional event experience.
• Strong planning and project management skills.
