Founded in 1852, GSC is a member of the University System of Georgia. The college has a distinctive legacy of excellent scholarship and service. GSC offers nearly 30 degrees, which includes multiple associate and baccalaureate pathways for students. With an enrollment of over 3,100 students, GSC offers an intimate academic setting with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratories. Job Summary
The Resident Director (RD) is a live in professional responsible for the comprehensive management, leadership, and daily operations of an assigned residence hall. This position ensures a safe, inclusive, academically supportive, and well¿maintained residential environment by supervising student staff, administering policies, coordinating educational initiatives, and responding to student needs. The RD also plays a key role in community development, crisis response, and departmental programming.

Required Qualifications
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of an associates degree.
Experience sufficient to understand the work of subordinate roles and to resolve issues, typically gained through three years of related experience or service.
The role requires living on campus and being available during non-traditional hours.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Knowledge of Housing and Residence Life policies, processes, and best practices.
Knowledge of student conduct procedures and conflict resolution methods.
Understanding of residential building operations, maintenance timelines, and facility safety standards.
Skill in delegating responsibilities and supervising student staff.
Proficiency with computer systems, housing software, and job¿related applications.
Strong decision¿making, critical¿thinking, and problem¿solving skills.
Skill in interpersonal communication, relationship building, and customer service.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
