This is your chance to join our team - help us to design the infrastructure and buildings that improve the world!Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLP (WRA) is seeking a qualified Resident Construction Manager for sanitary sewer pumping station facility construction projects in the Baltimore Metropolitan Area. The RCM is responsible for providing daily construction management and inspection services for pumping station facilities including new construction and rehabilitation or upgrades including mechanical, electrical and pump control systems and related yard piping and civil site improvements.Responsibilities:Performing full time, on-site construction management and supervision of multi-disciplined inspection personnel and daily inspection documentation to monitor the contractor's work for compliance with the contract documentsReviewing daily reports and preparing weekly status reports on work accomplished by Contractor(s)Coordinating and observing materials testing and maintaining testing logsReviewing Contractor pay estimates for accuracyPreparing sketches and assembling data for Owner or Engineer's use in making changes to the projectKeeping diaries and making reports on work accomplished and/or noted deficienciesCommunicating with the Engineer, Owner and Operations Personnel on a regular basis, keeping them apprised of field conditions, changes and maintaining effective communications and rapport with the Facility Owner and the entire construction project team throughout the construction phaseQualifications:Must have a minimum of 15 years of demonstrated experience as a Resident Construction Manager on sanitary sewer pumping stations (100+ MGD) with construction value ($50M- $100M range)Must have an Associates Degree in Construction Management or Civil/Environmental Engineering; Bachelor's Degree (BSCE) preferredMust have a proven track record of successfully completing construction assignments on-time and within budgetFamiliarity w/ Primavera P6 or Microsoft construction scheduling softwareFamiliarity with construction management software including Oracle Unifier, e-Builder or Procore.OSHA safety training and/or certification 30-Hour, preferredFamiliarity with mechanical, electrical and pump control systemsSediment & erosion control certificationMaterial testing certifications desirable including WACEL or MARCTPCertified Construction Manager (CCM)Certified Construction Quality Manager (CQM)Proficiency with MS Windows, Project, Word and ExcelExcellent communication skills, including written and verbal communicationClean driving record and background checkPhysical Requirements (Essential Functions):This position requires the ability to perform a variety of physical tasks in the field as part of the essential job functions.
