Schedule: Full Time | 80 hours/pay period | 2 :30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. | Includes every other weekend and holiday

Pay Range: $18.50 - $23.65/hour (non-exempt), based on experience, qualifications, and location.

As a Resident Assistant Lead, you'll go beyond direct care-mentoring team members, leading by example, and ensuring the highest quality of care for residents. In this role, you will support daily care, provide leadership on your shift, and foster a collaborative, person-centered care environment. Your ability to guide, mentor, and support your team will make a lasting impact on both staff and residents.

As a Resident Assistant Lead, you will:

  • Provide Direct Resident Care - Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, mobility, meals, and restorative care while maintaining dignity and respect.
  • Mentor and Support Team Members - Train, guide, and coach new and existing staff, promoting a positive and engaged work environment.
  • Act as a Shift Lead - Serve as the primary point of contact during shifts, triaging staff and resident needs, ensuring communication flow, and collaborating with clinical teams.
  • Ensure Quality and Compliance - Maintain documentation, follow established best practices, and ensure care protocols align with resident preferences and regulatory standards.
  • Promote a Positive Culture - Lead by example, foster teamwork, and create an environment where both residents and team members feel supported and valued.
  • Other Duties as Assigned - The duties and responsibilities listed above are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive.

This job also requires:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant license in the state of Minnesota preferred (may be required for some levels of assisted living).
  • Experience in resident care, mentoring, or leadership roles preferred.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and collaborate with a diverse team.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to pass state mandated background check.
  • Physical capability to perform all essential job functions.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English to ensure effective communication with residents, families, and staff.
