Resident Assistant - EVENINGS Full-Time and Part-Time

CARING & COMPASSIONATE RESIDENT ASSISTANT NEEDED

At The Harbor & The Haven, our mission is to redefine what it means to age with joy and dignity.  Our community consists of 61 assisted living and 12 memory care apartments.  We believe that providing exceptional care starts with a happy, supported team.  We are located in Norwood Young America, approximately 50 minutes southwest of Minneapolis/St. Paul.

YOUR ROLE

As a Resident Assistant, you will play a vital role in enhancing the lives of our residents by helping them maintain their independence.  Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with daily personal tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assisting with mobility, transferring, and light housekeeping.
• Administering prescribed medications and monitoring for side effects (training provided).
• Engaging residents in meaningful conversations and life enrichment activities.

HOURS, WAGE, BENEFITS

We have Full-Time and Part-Time EVENING positions available. Please note what hours you are interested in working on your application. 

• 4:30pm - 9:30pm: 30 hours in a payperiod
  • Week 1 Sunday, Monday, Friday   
  • Week 2 Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

• 1:45pm - 10:00pm: 70 hours in a payperiod
  • Week 1 Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
  • Week 2 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday

• 1:45pm - 10:00pm: 23 hours a payperiod
  • Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
  •  

• 1:45pm - 10:00pm: 31 hours a payperiod
  • Wednesdays and every other weekend

Starting Wage:     $19.00 to $25.00 per hour

Shift Differential:  Evening shifts are paid an additional $.75 per hour.

                             Overnight shifts are paid an additional $1.25 per hour.

All positions accrue Paid Time Off.  Positions scheduled 60 or more hours in a pay period also qualify for Health and Dental Insurance, Short and Long Term Disability Insurance, and Life Insurance.                 

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

• Reliable, compassionate and a true desire to support seniors.
• Be patient and calm, especially in difficult situations.
• Basic reading, writing, math and computer skills.
• Physically capable of doing work that requires standing, lifting, bending, pushing.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous caregiving experience or CNA/HHA certification is a plus (but not required).
• Must pass a background check.
