Resident Assistant (Caregiver) for Memory Care and/or Assisted Living

Occasional, non-routine housekeeping tasks, such as wiping up a water spill, cleaning out refrigerators, wiping out handrails, cleaning screened porches, etc. All aides are required to be in the dining room during dining room hours unless there is a resident that needs immediate attention.

1. Responsibleforprovidingthedirectpersonalassistanceandsupervisionneededby residents,includingassistingresidentswhennecessaryonanindividualbasiswithbathing, dressing, grooming, eating, walking, toileting and attending to any personal needs the residents may be incapable of or unable to attend to for themselves.
2. Encourage residents to participate in their care. Our goal is to keep our residents as high functioning as possible. We assist as needed.
3. Respond immediately in case of an accident or incident involving a resident and make a proper report of the incident.
4. Communicate with fellow staff and supervisor in regard to any changes in resident condition or any unusual circumstances or incidents.
5. Each aide will be given their assignment on the schedule. Aides will be assigned either to side 1 or 2 or be placed in the dining room as the dining room attendant.
6. Answer resident pages in a timely manner.
7. Must be able to do laundry and general cleaning.
8. Continualresidentmonitoringona24-hourbasis.

10. Serving residents meals during mealtimes and picking up dishes to be washed in a timely manner. One staff member is to be in the dining room at all times to monitor residents during meals. All aides are required to be in the dining room during dining room hours unless there is a resident that needs immediate attention.
11. In the event of an emergency, our staff may have to go to a villa to check on a resident that has called for help.
12. Responsible for knowing the duties during emergency situations. The evacuation plans are available to all staff at any given time. Our number one goal is resident and family satisfaction. We work together as a team with that goal in mind.
13. Being a team player is a MUST for our employees.
14. Miscellaneousdutiesasassignedby Supervisor.
15. Respecting theHIPPAlawsand maintainingconfidentiality.
16. Understand all job duties and communicate with the supervisor if you do not. You will be held accountable for those job duties and subject to reprimand if they are not performed as trained.
