    Resident Assistant

    Job Summary:

    The Resident Assistant (RA) provides essential care and support to residents in a manner that promotes dignity, comfort, and independence. The RA assists with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitors resident well-being, and ensures a safe and supportive environment in accordance with facility policies and state regulations.

    Current Open Positions:

    • Days: Full-Time, 12-hour shifts (2 openings)

    • Afternoons: Full-Time 8-hour shifts and Part-Time 8-hour shifts

    • Midnights: Full-Time 12-hour shifts and Full-Time 8-hour shifts

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility

    • Provide companionship and emotional support

    • Observe and report changes in residents' physical or mental condition to nursing staff

    • Assist with meals and encourage proper hydration

    • Maintain a clean and organized resident environment

    • Promote resident safety through proper use of equipment and fall prevention techniques

    • Escort residents to activities and appointments as needed

    • Follow individualized care plans and accurately document care provided

    • Communicate effectively with residents, families, and fellow team members

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED preferred

    • Previous caregiving or assisted living experience preferred, but not required

    • Compassion for working with older adults

    • Basic knowledge of infection control and resident rights

    • Strong communication and teamwork skills

    • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
