Residential and Recreation Advisors – Guthrie

Full-Time | 2nd and 3rd Shift | Express Employment Professionals – Edmond

Express Employment Professionals is partnering with a respected educational training and development program in Guthrie to hire Residential and Recreation Advisors. This role is well‑suited for individuals with strong administrative, supervisory, or facility management experience who excel at maintaining structured environments, enforcing policies, and supporting day‑to‑day operations within a residential setting.

About the Role

The Residential Advisor is responsible for maintaining a safe, organized, and well‑managed dormitory environment within a 24/7 residential facility. This position focuses on supervision, documentation, facility oversight, and coordination with staff to ensure policies and procedures are followed consistently.

Candidates must be available for 2nd or 3rd shift, including weekends.

Pay:$18/hr

Shifts:

• 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM – Midnight
• 3rd Shift: 11:30 PM – 8:30 AM

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain orderly, clean, and secure dormitory conditions, including supervising cleanup activities and submitting maintenance or repair requests
• Provide consistent supervision within dorms, cafeteria, laundry areas, recreation spaces, and during on‑site or off‑site activities
• Enforce facility rules, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and structured living environment
• Conduct routine safety checks and monitor facility activity during assigned shifts
• Maintain accurate logbooks, reports, and documentation in accordance with center and DOL guidelines
• Communicate effectively with counselors, instructors, supervisors, and other staff regarding daily operations and observations
• Support evening, overnight, and weekend programming as assigned
• Assist with coordinating dorm meetings and supporting peer leadership structures
• Follow all center policies, safety standards, and compliance requirements
• Participate in required staff training and operational briefings

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required
• Strong administrative, supervisory, or management experience
• Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills
• Ability to enforce rules professionally and maintain appropriate boundaries
• Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions during off‑hours
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, email, internet, Adobe Acrobat)
• Knowledge of residential operations, facilities oversight, or shift supervision is a plus
• Valid state driver’s license required

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, reach, talk, and listen regularly
• Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 25 lbs
• Comfortable working in a moderately noisy environment
