    DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND PRODUCTIVITY EXPECTATIONS:

    • Perform survival surgical procedures on mice, including handling, restrain, anesthesia, surgical heterotopic and orthotopic tumor fragment and tumor cell implantations, euthanasia, tissue collection and tissue cryopreservation
    • Record study data within the laboratory information management system
    • Read, understand and adhere to study protocols
    • Perform general study preparation and organizational activities, including sample tube labeling, supply organization and stocking, and laboratory organization
    • Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
    • Productivity Expectations: 150 unilateral NUDE PS/day, 60 bilateral NOG warm stock/day; 60 bilateral NOG cryo stock/day. To be attained within 3 months of training completion

    • PREFERRED: BS degree in animal science, biology, pharmacology, or related field.
    • PREFERRED: AALAS certification
    • PREFERRED: 2 years of related experience in contract research animal facility or similar setting.
