Job Summary
The Research Technician III - Polymer executes engineering activities for next generation polymer matrix composite materials and process development within sponsored research and development programs. This role participates in and leads various polymer engineering activities for prepreg, film, matrix reactor, autoclave, sample preparation, testing, maintenance and equipment operation.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Adheres to all University and School policies, procedures, and regulations
- Supports a team of scientists and engineers to develop next generation materials
- Optimizes advanced pilot-scale composite materials development equipment
- Plans and executes composite materials and process engineering functions
- Conducts composite material analytical and mechanical testing
- Generates technical reports and performs other duties as assigned by manager
- Performs other duties as assigned
