This is a Research Technician I position in the HMRI Glass Wash and Autoclave Core. The Technician will be responsible for circulating through research labs, collecting glassware, running glass washers, prepping items for steam sterilization, and running autoclaves across several buildings both on and off of the main campus. The Technician position requires strong teamwork skill, excellent communication with Core team, Laboratory Operations personnel, and research staff, ability to follow detailed processes and procedures, and, after training is completed, the ability to troubleshoot minor issues and have an understanding of our safety practices and Core policies. This position requires a lot of walking and transporting of glassware and other items across campus. There may also be visits to our off-site location (transport via shuttle) if/when staffing adjustments need to be made. Preferred hours are 10a-7p, M-F, but there is potential for some flexibility as long as late afternoons are covered.
