Will provide basic technical support by assisting in experimental studies in cultured cells and small rodents aimed at understanding delivery of the nucleic acids. Will perform prep work for and conduct basic lab experiments, conduct standard lab techniques, and support lab and/or research projects or protocols. Duties will include nanoparticle formulation and characterization; cell culture; gene expression analysis (RT-qPCR, ELISA, Western-blotting, and flow cytometry); imaging (bioluminescence, confocal microscopy, fluorescence); rodent experiments (administration, husbandry, tissue harvesting); and preparing/analyzing histopathological samples. May carry out routine literature searches; maintain and prepare laboratory samples, stocks, supplies, equipment, and reagents; perform data input and generate standardized reports using Excel and/or Word; maintain detailed records of experiments; and perform other duties as needed.
