Standard Job Description

This is a mid level position who will be supporting a technical team within the Supportable Low Observables (SLO) department. This group is responsible for developing systems, and maintenance processes to ensure the Radar Cross Section (RCS) Signature management of F-35 aircraft after delivery to the operating customer.

This specific role is for the Fort Worth based team, and will be focused on supporting Zonal RCS Measurements in the field and data analysis. This includes traveling to support measurements at Operational bases, Aircraft Depots, and Mod Retrofit and Overhaul (MRO&U) facilities. Implementation of the Handheld Imaging Tool (HIT) in the field will be a main focus of these activites, with some additional work with Repair Verification Radar (RVR) involved.

Additionally, this position will support the management of RCS zonal management systems across sustainment and production environments, looking to standardize RVE processes. They will help drive measurement system process improvements, investigate system issues, and help ensure continued successful collection of zonal measurement RCS aircraft data. They will also work on development of RCS data processing tools and process improvements across the SLO RVE team responsibilities.

Travel could be required for up to 50% of the time to support offsite locations.

Other job duties include:

Supportability & sustainment

• Establish procedures for SLO maintenance, field diagnostics, repair, and LO measurements.

Collaboration & stakeholder management

• Interface with government customers, program office, and supplier teams.
• Communicate SLO status, risks, and trade‑studies to senior leadership.

Documentation & compliance

• Author technical data packages, standards, and configuration‑management records for SLO features.
• Ensure compliance with DoD LO‑related policies and export‑control requirements.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree or above in one of the following fields: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics or another technical degree program
• Previous experience in Low Observables (LO), survivability, and/or susceptibility
• Experience with measuring aircraft Radar Cross Section (RCS) signature and/or completing RCS data analysis
• In depth understanding of RCS zonal measurement equipment processes and/or RCS data capture
• Clear communication and presentation skills
• Ability to obtain a Secret US Government Clearance

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with F-35 airframe design and coating materials and methods, aircraft systems and subsystems.
• Experience in radar cross section (RCS) design, Low Observable (LO) materials and processes
• Experience with Low Observables (LO) material repairs
• Hands on experience with the Handheld Imaging Tool (HIT) System operation or other RCS zonal measurement systems
• Classified System adminstration (Comp TIA Security+)
• Experience working within and leading cross functional teams
• Experience operating within fielded and depot aircraft sustainment environments
• Ability to operate autonomously with minimal direction from management
• Proven experience interfacing with diverse teams of contractors, military customers, and depot management

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00
