Role: Research Scientist – Ophthalmic Drug Delivery
Locations: Aliso Viejo, CA (5 days in the office a week)
Type:Contract
Rate:$33/Hr

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Chemistry or another relevant scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in one or more of the following areas:
  • Drug delivery device development.
  • Sustained-release chemistry.
  • Preclinical pharmacology.
  • Clinical pharmacology.
  • Intraocular pharmacokinetics.
  • Analytical chemistry.
• Hands-on experience with HPLC and FTIR analytical instruments.
• Experience with ELISA assays and diffusion cell testing.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic research, eye tissue dissection, and nonclinical eye surgery.
• Ability to interpret OCT and UBM images.
• Knowledge of fluorescence and absorbance spectroscopy.
• Experience developing pharmaceutical formulations and chemical recipes.
• Understanding of GLP procedures and GMP documentation.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation, and multitasking skills.
